Visit by the Federal President
Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Elke Büdenbender
The visit by Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and his wife Elke Büdenbender was preceded by a prolonged interest in Kolumba's work. During a “silent” visit (without a press conference), they took plenty of time to get to know the site, the architecture, the collection and the all-encompassing museum concept and its communication on a guided tour. The visit was accompanied by Rainer Maria Cardinal Woelki and the Minister of Culture of North Rhine-Westphalia, Isabel Pfeiffer-Poensgen. Henriette Reker, the Lord Mayor of Cologne, came by to welcome the visitors (Photos©Robert Boecker)
